Kaytura Felix is a maternal health researcher, storyteller, and expert dedicated to advancing conversations around birth equity, community care, and the experiences of Black birthing people and families. Through her research and work with Black Birthing Futures, Kaytura explores the systems, narratives, and practices that shape maternal health outcomes while highlighting the voices of those most impacted. She brings a thoughtful, research-informed, and engaging perspective to conferences, webinars, panels, and organizational events focused on maternal health, reproductive justice, and creating more equitable care systems.
Kaytura is also the host and executive producer of Deep Care Podcast, a podcast about the Black community midwives transforming Black families and futures. Through conversations with midwives, birth workers, researchers, and families, Deep Care highlights the importance of community, informed choices, and compassionate care in transforming maternal health.
